At Adelaide the air temperature on Saturday reached 98 degrees from a minimum of 66.2 degrees, and on Sunday it rose from a minimum of 71 degrees at midnight on Saturday to 97 degrees at noon Sunday.
The solar radiation thermometer on those two days reached 150.2 degrees and 162.0 degrees respectively; the latter being the absolute highest temperature in the sun ever recorded in October at Adelaide.
