Exceptional heat has been experienced at Mungindi. For 15 days in succession,commencing from 27th November, the official record at the post office, where the temperature is considerably reduced by a roof covered with refrigerating paint, ranged from 100 degrees to 117, representing an average of 108.3.
For six consecutive days the records were 113, 110, 112, 117, 103, and 114.
