Western and northern inland N.S.W. are sweltering in heat-wave conditions and temperatures today will be as high or higher than yesterday when scores of places in the west had temperatures of 100 degrees or higher.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Bureau explained that a fairly deep and persistent low pressure system, which had passed<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

over tropical waters, was causing the muggy weather.<\/div>\n
The heat in the air allowed it to retain a high percentage of water vapor.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cooler conditions are forecast for southern border districts tomorrow and the change is expected to spread over at least the southern half of the State later.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Bushfire danger is high in the north-west as conditions are dry and the wind is expected to fresh<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
