Although mean temperatures in the metropolitan area were practically normal during February, decided variations between heat and cold were experienced, the Divisional Meteorologist (Mr. E. B. Curie wis) said on Saturday.<\/div>\n
Two of the coolest days on record for February \u2014 69.2deg. and 69.3deg. on February 24 and<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

25, respectively \u2014 were preceded by a heat spell of four days’ duration, and were followed by one of the coldest nights ever experienced in February.<\/div>\n
During the month the temperature rose higher than 100deg. on three occasions and reached 106.3deg. on February 22, while the number of days exceeding 90deg. amounted to 10.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
