March 10. -With phenomenal weather conditions over almost the whole of southern Australia, Victoria simmered today in temperature exceeding 100deg.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">Wilson&#8217;s Promontory, with a maximum temperature of only 65deg., was the only part of Victoria today where the maximum was below the century.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">The highest recording n Melbourne was 102.5deg. and Victoria&#8217;s hottest town was Mildura, which established an all-time March record of 109deg.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">There is no change within sight and State-wide bushfire warnings were issued tonight by the Weather Bureau.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">Many fires were reported today and, if conditions continue, there may, with a hot northerly wind, be serious danger tomorrow in several areas.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VICTORIAN HEAT-WAVE.
