Destructive bush fires are still raging in the country. Miles of fencing and acres of grass have been burnt, and cattle destroyed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Meralong, a township on the Blue Mountains, was threatened by a wall of flame 50 feet high, and 30 miles long. Twenty thousand bags of wheat, stacked In the railway goods station at Mount Victoria, caught alight yesterday, afternoon, and were soon a heap of ashes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The railway sleepers on which the wheat, rested, are still burning, as there is no water. The goodsheds and drivers\u2019 rest-house are in danger.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
