While Sydney is enjoying mild spring weather, the western portion, of the State has been experiencing a continued spell of extreme heat.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Yesterday the highest temperatures registered for this summer were reported.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At Broken Hill the thermometer climbed to 100 degrees. The highest registrations were reported from Wilcannia 104, Wentworth 102, and Balranald 102.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At other stations in the west the thermometer reached the century mark. The heat wave is likely to spread over & wide area, and to-day early reports indicate exceptionally hot weather.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
