Chiefly due to the tropical dip operating over northern New South Wales, thunderstorms and very heavy rain fell during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. to-day on the extreme north coast, and moderate to heavy on the south-west slopes and plains.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

There were also light scattered registrations on the central coast, Hastings, Hunter and Manning, and central west Plains. The highest fall on the North Coast was Ballina 993.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The weather at 9 a.m. to-day was as follows: Cloudy to overcast on the coast and parts of the northern table lands and north-west slopes, with passing showers or light , rain at a few places on the coast. Elsewhere, the weather was fine and clear, with light to fresh south south-west winds on the far north-coast, and light to fresh south-east to north-east.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The highest maximum temperatures were Collarenebri 104, Coonamble 104, Bourke and Mungindi 101.<\/div>\n
