Temperatures were chiefly cool to moderate over the settled areas, but hot in the western inland areas.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">Cook recording a maximum of 103 degrees, and Kyancutta 93 degrees. At Adelaide, from a minimum of 55.7, the thermometer rose to a maximum of 81.4 deg.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">Very little rain was registered in the Commonwealth during the 24 hours ended 9<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zone onPage readMode\" data-page-id=\"2671099\" data-x=\"186\" data-y=\"1436\" data-w=\"625\" data-h=\"241\" data-rotation=\"-1\">\n<div class=\"paragraph onPage\">\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">WEATHER FORECAST<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">Fine, with rising temperatures, and east to north winds; but later cool southerlies advancing from the west.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zone onPage readMode\" data-page-id=\"2671099\" data-x=\"178\" data-y=\"1690\" data-w=\"633\" data-h=\"465\" data-rotation=\"-1\">\n<div class=\"paragraph onPage\">\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">a m. and, apart from some heavy falls on the north coast of Queensland, the gaugings were mostly light.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read clicked\">A weak anticyclone was centrally located over South Australia this morning, but falling barometers today indicate its easterly drift and the advance of a shallow depression noted this morning over Western Australia.
