A remarkable climatic change has taken place during the past three days.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Last week some light frosts occurred but since Monday the conditions have been like summer. On Monday the shade reading was 87 degrees, with a drop of five degrees on Tuesday; but yesterday something like a record in the way of heat for October was established.<\/div>\n
At an early hour there was promise of a warm day; but all expectations in the matter of heat were ex<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

ceeded when a strong westerly arrived about 10 a.m. The mercury soared until 92 degrees had been reached at 2p.m. and in some places the reading was made as high as 94\u00b0<\/div>\n
