Wrote an Eighth Army Tommy:<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">\u201cAt all times we are surrounded by hungry, half-starved children. But it is impossible for us to give anything but a few biscuits.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">In one ravaged town all went away from our convoy but one small girl about 7. She was very thin and hungry, and kept looking at me with pathetic, pale blue eyes.
