A cool change, coming from the west, should reach Melbourne some time tomorrow, said the Commonwealth Meteorologist (Mr Hunt) today.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He added that northerly winds were sweeping right down the eastern side of Australia from the Gulf of Carpenteria, and there was a prospect of fairly widespread rain in the next 48 hours.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Whether the fall would extend to Victoria, however, could not yet be determined. It was a dusty, unpleasant day in the city, but Mr Hunt said that this quality of warmth for April was not exceptional.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Hunt doubtless felt very cool when he spoke. He was in cream trousers and working in shirt sleeves.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
