A mysterious warming of the climate is slowly manifesting it self in the Arctic; and if the An<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

tarctic ice<\/span> regions and the major Greenland ice<\/span> cap<\/span> should reduce at the same rate as they are at<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

present melting,<\/span> oceanic surfaces would rise to catastrophic proportions, and people living in the lowlands along the shores would be inundated.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This was the view expressed by Dr-Hana Ahlmann; noted Swedish geophysicist, to-day at the<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

University of California’s Geophysical Institute.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Ahlmann added that temperatures in the Arctic have increased . 10 degrees Fahrenheit<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

since 1900. an “enormous” rise from the scientific standpoint.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
