NEW YORK, April 10.-The Ant- arctic is getting warmer, it is concluded from a preliminary study of aerial photographs taken by the Navy task force. These indicate that the retreat of the ice cap is much greater than was previously believed.
The pictures show that water erosion has begun to soften the rugged landscape in valleys gouged by the glaciers.
