Saturday was a very hot day in Svdney.
Dry north-easterly winds were again in evidence, and combined to produce oppressive and trying conditions.
The maximum temperature was 98.1 deg.
This is the fourth reading so far in this month of over 90 deg.
Never has this occurred before in any previous March the largest number of readings over 90 deg was three up to now.
The percentage of humidity was never less than 24 per cent :
The record from Bourke was 107 deg.,
Condobolin 104, and Forbes and Walgett 100 deg. each.
