England, Norway and Sweden are organising a joint Antarctic expedition this year to investigate whether the world is getting warmer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Two British scientists and Mr. G. Robin, an Australian, who is Lecturer in Physics at Birmingham University, have been appointed to the expedition.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
They will be absent about two and a half years.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The expedition will explore the snowy wastes of Queen Maud Land, untrodden by man, and the strange warm “oasis” in ‘ mountains 200 miles from the coast.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Director of the Royal Geographical Society (Mr. L. P. Kirway) said: “Evidence has been found , that the Arctic is becoming warmer.<\/div>\n
