Eliza yesterday was 102.8 degrees, and to-day the weather was extremely sultry, but the thermometer registered 95.5 in<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">the shade.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">It was very close to-night. One effect of the the heat wave has been a great increase of sickness which is seriously felt in the police force, six prominent officers have been confined to their beds.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">PERTH. March 10<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">The twelfth day of the remarkable March weather continued to-day, and there were no indications of the heat abating.<\/div>\n<div class=\"read\">The thermometer at the Observatory; although on the comparatively cool heights of Mt.
