Callendar, thinks an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the air is acting as an umbrella and keeping the heat on the earth\u2019s surface.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zone onPage readMode\" data-page-id=\"10322040\" data-x=\"1306\" data-y=\"690\" data-w=\"586\" data-h=\"1467\" data-rotation=\"-1\">\n<div class=\"paragraph onPage\">\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">A Stockholm geographer thinks something has happened to bring warm masses of air that ordinarily lie over the ocean, across the continents.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">A Long Islander, near here thinks it\u2019s all caused by these aeroplanes they\u2019re putting up these days. They reflect the heat down like a tin roof.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">Quite a lot of weather people are putting the blame on the long suffering sun spots.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">But while people speculate ice recedes and new forests sprout in Alaska. Arctic temperatures are up five degrees, and think on this: \u2014<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read\">There are 4,000,000 cubic miles of ice in Greenland. If this melted, cities such, as London, New York, and Washington would go under, and water would cover half the earth\u2019s wealth.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line\">\n<div class=\"read clicked\">Now you see, that is if permits are available, and if authorities have built all those houses and hospitals they were talking about, we must start building dykes around Australia in time for 3950 AD.
