Melbourne citizens to-day entered upon their fourth hot day in succession.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The rise from the normal shade temperature commenced on Saturday, and on each succeeding day the mercury put up a new record.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At noon to-day the thermometer equalled yesterday\u2019s best register, and half-an-hour later it had beaten it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Fifteen minutes before two o\u2019clock at the Weather Bureau the record was 103.2, and at Gaunt\u2019s 107.3.<\/div>\n
The fitful northerly breeze swung round to the west at 1.45, and then to the south. A cool, refreshing breeze came, and in its wake was a shower, of rain.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
