Since last week’s downpour we have had hot days, which usually culminated in thunder showers.
But yesterday the heat persisted throughout the entire day, and sent the mercury soaring skywards, the figure reached being 106 degrees .
The intense heat coming immediately after the wet makes living almost unbearable.
All old residents state that this is the most protracted summer on record.
The rainfall for thee year exceeds 60 inches, and there is every promise that we will get another downpour at an early date.
