More than 1,000,000 people were suffering from a widespread famine in south-west China, a Chinese Communist newspaper which reported here today reported.
The Chungking newspaper, “Hsin Hun,” said that the famine had assumed big proportions in the provinces of Szechuan, Sikang, Kweichow and Yunnan.
