The temperature at Hobart this morning was normal.
The intense heat of yesterday afternoon. 98.3 degrees is the highest there has been for four years and was a record for the month of November.
A number of persons, mostly elderly, collapsed yesterday owing to the heat.
There are bush fires in several areas to-day but no damage has been reported.
