The temperature to-day was 100deg., and last Saturday it was 101.2.
The century has only been reached twice in 44 years in the first eight days of December. Four
successive nights with the minimum not below 70deg. is a record for December.
There were 29 funerals at Karrakatta to-day, and 21 yesterday, compared with the record of 19 In 1919, when there was the pneumonic influenza epidemic. The position will be normal with six to-morrow.
