OCTOBER HEAT WAVE.
Residents of Singleton, experienced a real taste of summer on Tuesday and yesterday.
In fact, the shade registrations, 96 and 97 degrees respectively, established something like a heat wave for October.
Conditions generally were very sultry and oppressive.
A northerly wind prevailed yesterday.
