The heat at Waikerie during the last week has been very oppressive and during the last few days many blockers have found it necessary to suspend picking operations.
The temperatures (unofficial) starting from Tuesday last have been as follows:—

Thursday 110,
Friday 110,
Saturday 112,
Sunday 110,
