Suffered Through Heat Wave.
Narracoorte, March 18.
The annual autumn show in connection with the Narracoorte H. and F. Society, held in the Town Hall here on Friday last, suffered owing to the severe heat wave experienced for over
a week previous, and the limited supply of water available for growers.
Notwithstanding the untoward conditions, however, there was a very creditable display of cut blooms, bouquets, fruit and vegetables, while the cooking section was a worthy one.
